Picking the Right Perfume-Fragrance

January 8th, 2011

So, you want to pick out a new designer perfume, but not too sure what you want. This happens a lot, believe it or not. You as a person have your own name, own style, own personality completely different and separate from anyone else. You are a unique person; your own individual. Your creativity is linked to your sense of style; your sense of flair linked to your own bubbly personality.

You already know what kind of clothes you like to wear and what kind of people you like to hang out with. But now is a unique question: what do you want to smell like? There are so many perfumes out there not to mention musks, misks, deodorants, sprays, cremes, and the like. These days in fact it seems the market is flooded with beauty and fashion products, and trying to figure out which one you want or need can be confusing. But fear not! Below we break it down which works for what person, being creme, musk, misk, deodorant and the like. We even get into sprays and roll-on deodorants.

This guide below applies to both men and women.

If you sweat a lot

For people that sweat a lot, no matter what sex you are, you will want a roll-on deodorant stick. Roll-on deodorants provide more protection and will last longer then a spray-on because of the manner it is applied to the skin. A roll-on deodorant stick such as Speed Stick pride their product on the fact that it will last longer then other deodorants.

Perfumes vs Body Sprays vs Deodorants

Body spray and deodorant (if it is spray on) are very similar products. However, deodorants and body sprays differ from perfume. Deodorant and body spray is meant to mask the natural odor produced from the body while perfume is meant to go on top of deodorant. Many people will prefer to wear a roll-on deodorant and then a perfume on top of that, but few will wear a perfume and no deodorant at all.

Going to a day event

If you are going to an event during the day, it is usually best to have a shower, then apply a deodorant after the shower, or use a shower creme during the shower. Axe shower gel is a great product because the scent from the gel will stay on the skin after the shower as well. If you are going to a lengthy day event bring some perfume, musk or cologne. And if you will be working out or exercising we recommend roll on deodorant over the spray.

Going to a night event

When you go out at night things tend to be more formal, and often you’ll want to make more of an impression (like going out on a date, or visiting the night club). In this case we recommend either roll-on or spray deodorant/body spray (such as Axe) and then a fragrance over top. Myself I like to spray on some Axe after the shower and then put on some cologne on top of that.

Some people prefer not to layer – layering meaning putting on a body spray then a perfume over top. If you are layering you have to be very careful your two scents do not contrast greatly. For instance, wearing a body spray that smells like raspberry and then wearing a strong Swiss Army cologne on top would likely create two very contrast scents that would repel one another.

Trim Pubic Hair the Right Way

December 30th, 2010

If you are looking to trim or get rid of all of your pubic hair than there are some things to keep in mind when doing so. There are also quite a few ways in which to trim your pubic hair. Most people assume that only women trim their pubic hair but in fact men do so just as often as women. Obviously it is a lot easier for a woman to trim her pubic hair as guys have some anatomical restrictions in place. Let’s take a look at how to trim your hair.

Basic trimming. This is your no-frills most common approach to shaving off the hair around the pubic area. You have two options here: You can either use a razor or scissors. I strongly recommend using an electric razor in this case. If you get your hands on some good equipment than this process is nice and easy and a razor can actually last you the rest of your entire life. If you choose to go the cheap route and use a straight razor or use a razor that is of inferior quality than you will more than likely regret it in the end. Personally, I would not recommend using scissors at all as it is laborious and just one slip of the hand and ouch!

Using a hair removal cream. Otherwise known as the depilatories, a hair removal cream dissolves the hair and then you can clear it away. This is a nice pain free approach to trimming pubic hair the right way. The downside is that it can be pretty harsh on the skin and often leads to skin irritations, bumps, etc..

Shaving it all off. This is the most extreme and least recommended approach to trimming your hair. It speaks for itself and I strongly suggest considering one of the other options.

If you are looking to trim pubic hair the right way then you should use the right equipment and don’t forget to prepare your skin by washing beforehand and afterward. I would also suggest talking with your spouse and finding out what they think before you do it. Oh, and don’t forget the baby powder.

10 Easy Ways to Look Younger and Improve Your Skin Care – Naturally

December 28th, 2010

Anti Aging Skin Care is the new phrase on many women’s lips right now. But even using the best skin care products we can’t defeat time, and its eventual effect on our bodies. But we can put up a damn good fight!

Here are ten snippets of useful advice about entirely natural skin care products which can help you look after your skin. A daily skin care regime based on some or all of these suggestions really could help you look younger – for longer.

If you find them useful, then you’ll find many more in my new publication which you can find using the links in the last paragraph of this article. It’s called “100-Plus Solutions to Skin Care Problems- Naturally”

1. Best Wrinkle Cream? Herbal extracts can clear up many skin problems.

For many who seek clearer skin, the natural approach can be the best way to achieve it.

For example, there are now some great Echinacea supplements commercially available that can be applied to your skin with great effect. You can and should also add Echinacea to your daily vitamin regime.

2. Create your own exclusive anti wrinkle cream / facial cleanser.

If you are one who prefers to use only natural ingredients on your face, then why not consider creating your own mild cleanser using milk, rosewater, oatmeal powder and almond meal?

If your skin is oily, you could use an alternative recipe using chickpea flour, lemon, yogurt or honey.

3. Castor oil is a first-class skin moisturizer.

Do you endure dry knees and/or dry elbows? You may be surprised to learn that castor oil makes a first-rate moisturizer. Sparingly apply it at bedtime and cover the affected area to prevent staining of bedclothes. Castor oil is a widely available natural vegetable oil, and it is inexpensive too.

4. Want to look younger? Almonds make for crystal clear skin?

Almonds are an especially good source of antioxidants, which help to keep your skin clearer and more healthy. Add an ounce of almonds to your daily diet to encourage better skin health and better overall health.

5. Dry Skin? Jojoba oil is also worth a shot.

If you have dry, itchy skin, try applying a small amount of jojoba oil, which is a plant-derived wax known for its healing properties. Jojoba Oil has been used for centuries to treat cuts and wounds and is a natural alternative to other skin treatments which may contain harsh chemicals.

6. Sour milk? Don’t just throw it away.

Use sour milk to wash your face. It is an excellent natural alternative to those harsh chemical peels which can have sometimes nasty after-effects. The Lactic Acid in sour milk helps to remove dead skin cells and leave you with a healthy glow.

7. Try the hot / cold water regime (if you can)

After your hot shower, and before shutting off the water, switch to cold water for a few seconds, and then return to hot. Repeat this for a couple of minutes and you will soon start to notice that your skin is looking better.

This ploy improves blood circulation in your skin. At first, the process might be a tad shocking and distinctly uncomfortable, but when you start to see results, you won’t worry about that..

8. Very dry skin? Try mashed avocado.

Avocados are a great natural therapy for dry skin. Apply mashed avocado after bathing, rub it into your skin and afterwards wipe off the excess to prevent staining of your clothing.

9. Have a hot lemon drink.

Drink plenty of cups of hot water containing a slice of lemon. This is a terrific way to purify your body. Do this at least once or twice a week – more frequently if possible – and you will be cleansing your kidneys and liver, which are where most toxins accumulate. Those toxins can cause blemishes and other skin problems.

10. Epsom Salts treat your feet!

If the skin on your heels is liable to crack and dry out in winter, soak your feet a few times a week to restore moisture. Use a combination of warm water, Epsom salts and aromatic oils for a relaxing, and fragrant soak.

CONCLUSION

These are just a few tried and tested natural skin care treatments using easily-obtainable products. If you want to prevent wrinkles or are looking for the best wrinkle cream, do not ignore them!

At the other end of the treatment spectrum (from natural skin care remedies) are Botox Injections, laser peels, and other similar treatments. Many people believe that these are the ultimate solution to their skin care problems.

I do feel however that the many simple, low-cost natural skin treatments for skin care problems should be given a try too. I do hope that you feel the same way.

There are lots of other natural skin care treatments! If you would like to learn about them, why not read my 30-page guide: “100-Plus Solutions to Skin Care Problems – Naturally”. Just follow the links in the next paragraph.
